Amber Room Counselling
Welcoming You Into a Space of Care and Change
How I Work
This approach is grounded in humanistic psychology and guided by three core conditions I aim to offer you at all times:
Empathy – a deep understanding of your inner world
Authenticity – a genuine, honest presence
Unconditionality – acceptance of you, just as you are
Rather than giving advice or leading the way, I walk alongside you. You set the pace and the depth of the work, whether you're gently exploring or diving deep.
I’m here to support you in building self-confidence, self-responsibility, and self-trust so you can move forward in ways that feel more true to you.
Who I Work With
I specialise in trauma, particularly with LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse adults, but you’re welcome here, whatever you’re facing.
You might be:
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low, or emotionally stuck
Navigating the effects of trauma, self-harm, or painful past experiences
Struggling with self-esteem, motivation, or ongoing self-doubt
Facing relationship challenges — like people-pleasing, attachment wounds, or abuse
Grieving a loss or coping with loneliness or social anxiety
Exploring your identity, neurodivergence, or sense of self
Feeling lost or unfulfilled in work or studies — stuck in patterns, bullied, or burned out
Wanting a safe, non-judgmental space to understand yourself and move forward
Person-Centred Therapy Helps You:
Feel more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and decisions
Build confidence to face challenges and embrace your future
Create a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your identity and personal growth
Your Therapist
